from $2.75

1 Packet of >300 seeds. 30+ days cold stratification helps germination Or

1 Overwintered plant, small but established.

This member of the mint family has many lovely attributes, first of all the leaves have a sweet licorice like flavor, which can be used as a snack, tea or in salad, they also have medicinal properties. Pollinators also enjoy this plant, the flowers seem especially attractive to bees. This short lived perennial is quite easy to grow anywhere with full or part sun and well draining soil. They tend to self-seed a bit, so dead head them if you don’t want seedlings popping up.

Seeds should be sown in fall or winter or artificially cold stratified for 30+ days before sowing. Seeds should be surface sown, as they are quite small. For more info on stratification click here
